Meet Allira

A decade living, owning, and investing in the Whistler valley

Meet the Founder

Allira King

Moving to Whistler over a decade ago, I fell completely in love with the pulse, the people, and the lifestyle of this valley. Today, raising a family and building a business here, I know firsthand that real estate in our resort community is incredibly rewarding — but navigating it can feel entirely overwhelming.

Whistler isn't like typical suburban markets. Between strict regional bylaws, building permits, and complex Phase 1 and Phase 2 covenant zoning, you need an advisor who reads your property through both an analytical and a practical lens. I've owned homes here and run vacation rentals under tourist-accommodation zoning, so I've learned the numbers by signing for them myself — I don't just handle contracts, I master the logistics, backed by the global prestige of Angell Hasman & Associates.

The Road Here

Fourteen years of building a life in Whistler, the honest way

Nobody starts as a local. This is the road — the moves, the stretches, the bets that worked — that turned a newcomer into the person clients now call first.

  1. 2012

Moved to Whistler — arrived like everyone does: for a season. Stayed like some of us do: for good.

  2. 2014

Bought a first Whistler home — and learned firsthand what saving for this valley actually takes.

  3. 2016

Bought a Creekside studio — the first real step from living in the valley to investing in it.

  4. 2018

Sold the Creekside studio to upgrade — a larger two-bedroom in the heart of Whistler Village.

  5. 2019

Sold our primary residence and waited — holding out for the dream home to come around.

  6. 2020

Bought a single-family home with a three-bedroom rental suite — living in the valley and letting it help pay its way.

  7. 2022

Became a licensed real estate agent — turning more than a decade of doing it into helping others do it.

  8. 2025

Welcomed our first child — and the family-first perspective stopped being a tagline.

  9. 2026

Still living in Whistler — and wouldn't change it for anything.

No inheritance play, no lucky flip — just this valley, taken seriously.
